Merry Christmas,

I hope that the holidays find you well.  I've been consistently negligent in writing Christmas letters and am not quite sure how it is supposed to be done, so if this is not quite perfect, give me a call and we can talk about how to do it better next time.   I want to talk to you anyway.

As for me, I'm in Daejon, South Korea.  I have been here since September teaching English to elementary and middle school students, as well as one CEO.   Working with children has been different, but fun.  The major perk of my job is that I don't work on Wednesday.   I'm learning Korean more slowly than I would like, but I'm starting to be able to babble with strangers.

Most of the strangers I meet in my neighborhood have PhDs, because I am near a science park.  I'm also meeting a lot of expats now.  Last weekend I went to Gwangju to have a proper Christmas dinner.  I think I would have met more people earlier, but I was taking it very easy for my first month, and working with children made me sick for a couple months.

If you would like to visit Korea, I will be here until June or July and would love to see you.  I am also available through Skype as tadpatte and would enjoy talking with you as well.  I would love to hear how things are going with you.

Until we speak again, all the best,

Tad Patterson
